Principal Investment Strategies
The underlying fund invests approximately 60% of its assets in stocks and other equity securities and the remainder in bonds and other debt securities, including lower quality debt securities when its outlook is neutral. It invests at least 25% of its total assets in fixed income senior securities (including debt securities and preferred stock) and also invests in domestic and foreign issuers. It may invest in growth stocks or value stocks or both. The underlying fund invests in Fidelity’s central funds (specialized investment vehicles used by Fidelity funds to invest in particular security types or investment disciplines).
