Washington State Plan 3

Minimum Site Requirements

To protect your passwords and other personal information, this Web site uses a technology called SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) to encrypt information when you use Account Access or other secure features. For security purposes, we require that you use a 128-bit SSL compliant browser.

Notice:
The link listed below directs you to the “download area” for this browser. You must download the 128-bit (highest security) version from the site. Depending on the current version of your browser, you may only need to download a patch with the 128-bit encryption. The site listed below will read your current browser and guide you through the process.

Some Internet providers and corporations block your computer from sending special information that is required by federal law for you to be able to download the 128-bit version. If you get errors when attempting to download the 128-bit version, you must contact your technology department or your Internet Provider. You can also purchase the 128-bit version of this browser online, or at a local retail store.

[Download Microsoft Internet Explorer] Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher

To make full use of some sections of of this site, you may also need additional helper software installed on your computer.

Are you using America Online (AOL)?

AOL with Windows 95/98/NT/2000:
We recommend that you upgrade to AOL version 5.0. Our tests have shown no known problems with this version of AOL. Other versions are not currently recommended or supported.

If you are not using AOL 5.0 or higher, you can still use a newer version of Netscape (i.e. 4.5 or higher) to access your ICMA-RC account. To do this, log on to AOL and then minimize the AOL program. Now start up the Netscape program. Although this process is not supported, it does work in a fashion similar to more routine Internet access providers.

Password Security

To preserve the security of your Account Access password, we encourage you to change it on a regular basis. At a minimum, you will be required by the system to change your password once a year.
