The Vantagepoint Public Employee Memorial Scholarship Fund honors the lives of public employees who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their communities.

They are fathers, mothers, wives, and husbands, and leaders in our communities. The following film is a tribute to them, and their surviving family members. It’s an opportunity to get to know them, hear their stories, learn the history of the Scholarship Fund, and to meet those who support its mission.

Since its inception in 2001, word about the Scholarship Fund has spread. In the following video clip, Joan McCallen, President of the Scholarship Fund, and President and CEO of ICMA-RC, is interviewed on WUSA’s Channel 9 morning news segment by weekday morning anchor, Andrea Roane.
