Thank you for your interest in supporting the Vantagepoint Public Employee Memorial Scholarship Fund.
Our donors and sponsors play a substantial role in helping the surviving loved ones of fallen local and state government employees rebuild their lives.
Each year scholarships in amounts up to $10,000 are awarded to the children and spouses of firefighters, police officers, and other local and state government employees, who in service to their communities, lost their lives.
Contributions to the Fund help these families move forward and continue their lives by defraying the costs of higher education.
Since its inception in 2001, the Scholarship Fund has awarded over a half million dollars in scholarship money to more than 160 students, giving them the opportunity to pursue their dreams of going to college or vocational school.
For the 2007/2008 school year, the Fund awarded a record 43 scholarships worth $90,000. This would not have been possible without the generous support the Fund receives from organizations like yours.
Financial support for the scholarships has traditionally been provided annually by ICMA-RC, its service providers, vendors, affiliates, and foundations. We hope you will consider joining us in this important program that has already made a difference in the lives of so many individuals.
If you choose to donate to the Scholarship Fund, you can be proud that your financial contribution is helping the families of those public servants who have paid the ultimate price for their service.
The Vantagepoint Public Employee Memorial Scholarship Fund is made possible through partnerships with groups such as the National Fraternal Order of Police, National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, Concerns of Police Survivors, Inc., National Forum for Black Public Administrators, and Scholarship America.
