New Login Process Instructions

ICMA-RC has implemented new security features that will change the way you log into your ICMA-RC account. Here’s how the new security features work:

Now that the new security features are active, the first time you log in, you will immediately notice that the entry field for your password is no longer underneath the entry field for your User ID. The button that was once labeled Log In is now labeled Proceed. Enter your current User ID (your Social Security number or Reference Code) and select Proceed. You will be prompted to take the following steps to complete the setup of the new security features:

  1. Create your new User ID. Your User ID must be between 6 and 32 characters. The User ID must not begin with “R” followed by 7 characters. Please limit characters to A-Z, a-z, 0-9, and special characters (.,*, @, _, -). If you try to select a User ID already in use by another participant, you will be prompted to create a different User ID. This will ensure that no two participants have the same User ID.
  2. Select the graphic that will be used to brand your password entry page. You will see this graphic every time you log in going forward. If you are ever directed to a page that is not branded with the graphic you selected, do not log in. Instead, please contact Investor Services at 800-669-7400, and we will help you with the login process.
  3. Select and answer three security questions. You may choose from a list of 12 questions. These questions will provide an extra level of security.
  4. You will receive a confirmation that your new User ID has been created. You may select the link to return to the Account Access password entry page.

As you go through the process of setting up your new security features, take a moment to ensure that you will be able to remember your selections, both your User ID and password, and the security questions and answers you selected. If at any time you have difficulties with the login process, please contact Investor Services for help.
