Below are tips and reminders to help you with plan administration within EZLink. If you need assistance while using EZLink, contact our Plan Sponsor Services team.

Benefit Eligibility and Termination Dates for RHS Plan

When submitting participant information for Retirement Health Savings (RHS) Plans, there are two important dates and terms to keep in mind:

  • Benefit Eligible Date: A participant becomes eligible to receive medical benefit payments from their plan based on the RHS Adoption Agreement. A participant’s benefit eligibility date can be entered within EZLink.
  • Termination Date: A participant’s last date of service or retirement date can also be entered within EZLink, but it’s only required if the RHS plan has a vesting schedule.

A participant’s Benefit Eligible, Termination, or Retirement date can be submitted via EZLink by following the navigational path below:

  • From the Overview page, under the category for Plans, select view RHS plan number to be updated.
  • At the top of the next page, hover over the Participant tab and select Participant Administration from the drop-down options.
  • At the RHS Administration box, select enter RHS Termination or RHS Eligibility Date.

If you have any questions or need assistance, contact your ICMA-RC representative or Plan Sponsor Services.
